Privacy Policy

The short version

• There are no accounts, and we never ask for your name, email or any other personal details.
• Your checked spots, pins, planner numbers and settings are saved only in your own browser. They are never sent to us.
• We use Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) and Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation) to count visits and see which pages are useful.
• Like every website, our host keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP addresses) to keep the site running and secure.

Who we are

EFT Docs Map is an unofficial, fan-made reference for Escape from Tarkov, run as an independent fan project. It is not affiliated with Battlestate Games. For any privacy question or request, contact support@tarkovdoc.com.

Information stored on your device

The interactive maps save your progress in your browser’s local storage so it is still there next time. This includes:

• spots you marked as checked, per map and per season;
• custom pins and their labels;
• Battle Pass planner numbers and the selected profile (PvP / PvE / Seasonal);
• display settings such as hidden document types, selected floor, labels and panel state.

This data stays on your device. We cannot see it, it is not linked to you, and it is not used for tracking. You can remove it at any time with the button below or by clearing site data in your browser.

Technical logs

When you load a page, Cloudflare automatically processes standard request data — your IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the time of the request. This is needed to deliver the site, protect it against abuse and fix errors. We do not combine these logs with any other data or use them to identify you. They are kept for a short period set by the host, typically no longer than 30 days.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) and Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation) to understand how the site is used — for example which maps are most visited — so we can improve it. They collect information such as pages viewed, approximate location (country), device type and referrer. Microsoft Clarity also records clicks, scrolling and mouse movement to produce heatmaps and session replays. It masks input it treats as sensitive, and the site never asks you to type personal details.

In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland these tools set no analytics cookies until you allow them; until then they only receive cookieless signals without identifiers. Elsewhere analytics cookies are on by default. Wherever you are, you can allow or refuse them at any time on the Cookies & storage page. Advertising storage stays switched off.

Legal basis (EEA / UK visitors)

• Local storage — strictly necessary to provide features you actively use (saving your progress).
• Technical logs — our legitimate interest in operating a secure, working website.
• Analytics cookies — your consent.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers named on this page, who process it on our behalf or as described in their own policies.

Our providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where that happens, they rely on recognised safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or California privacy law) you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent. Because we don’t keep accounts or profiles, the only personal data we could hold is in short-lived technical logs. Contact us at support@tarkovdoc.com and we will respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13 (under 16 in the EEA), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

We link to other websites, such as GitHub and Battlestate Games. Their privacy practices are their own.

Changes

If we change how data is handled — for example by adding analytics or ads — we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
